Leaves are alternate, ovate -orbicular, double serrulate, dark green and shining above, pale yellowish green and viscid beneath.

Venation is pinnatewith 8-11 pair of lateral veins, terminating in the teeth of the margin.

It grows on alpine or sub alpine zone.

The wood is used only for fuels.
