Malus Sieboldii


A deciduous shrub with dark grey fissured bark.

Leaves are alternate, 3-5 lobed, acute at the apex. The mid rib raised beneath, the minute reticulation is fairy distinct beneath.

White flowers open in April to June on short shoots.

It grows on sunny places in the cool to warm temperate zone.

This tree is also called Koringo.

It is used for garden tree and Bonsai. Bark for dye.

Distribution ; Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu, China
