Akatodomatsu
Abies sachaliensis


An evergreen tall tree with greyish white bark.

This species is generally called Todomatsu in addition to Aotodomatsu (var. Mayriana Miyabe et Kudo).

This fir is the most important planting trees in Hokkaido.

The wood is used for paper pulp, buildings, construction material.

Distribution ; Hokkaido, Saghalien, Southern Kuriles
